The Creator
Seraphina Pembrook
Seraphina “Sera” Pembrook is the creator and writer behind SOULY DAMNED. A lifelong storyteller, Sera has been crafting stories and architecting worlds since childhood.
Driven by a love for immersive narrative and morally complex characters, Sera’s vision for SOULY DAMNED has been developing for over a decade, expanding from a single story into a published work and an evolving multimedia project. Studio Iridion was founded around this vision, uniting a passionate team of talented artists, writers, and collaborators to bring the world of SOULY DAMNED to life across multiple mediums.
Sera currently resides in Utah with her two cats, Eve and Valentine (named after her characters, of course!). When she isn’t weaving lore, Sera works professionally in costume design, with experience in live show and costume management at Disney. She also cherishes attending conventions, where you can find her showcasing costume builds, connecting with her community, and engaging with fellow artists and industry professionals.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
What is Souly Damned?
Souly Damned fuses hardboiled noir set in a distored reality. The series begins during the romanticised golden age of the 1920's where a young female detective navigates the challenges of a determined woman, hell bent on uncovering the truth behind her past. Rooted in mythological intrigue, the series explores themes of redemption, corruption, identity, and the pupeteering forces that threaten human choice.
The true question is:
Are we all just souly damned... is Fate that cruel?
